SMF Bridge not upgradeable to Joomla! 1.5

As I understand it there are currently two bridges available to connect Joomla! and SMF Discussion Forum software. Unfortunately the 'Official' one is not being upgraded for Joomla! 1.5    See announcement http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=137121.0.
