My component really fits into none of the existing...

This 'Extensions Directory Forum' is the right place to suggest new categories 
What kind of extension do you like to submit?
There might be similar extensions that might not fit perfectly in the current categories, so at one point we could consider opening a new category.

Hi od2sen,

we developed a component to handle affiliate marketing for e-commerce sites.

It is neither a shopping cart nor fits into any other of the e-commerce categories.
As far as we know, it's the first ever affiliate-marketing-component for Joomla.

You may have a look at our Site: http://www.joomlaelements.com

You may call it an "e-commerce addon" or so, but a category like "Affiliate Marketing" would be great.
That's almost the only description that would really fit and affiliate marketing is a common phrase today, i think.

Solved for now by publishing in the e-Commerce/shopping-cart category.
We will have in mind that this type of extension could need a new category if other similar extensions are submitted.
