Demo Registration not working

I've been trying to register for the online demo. I've noted the following problems:

When offered a choice to select between demo 1.0 and 1.5, the 1.0 option always returned a Page Not Found Error.

Therefore, I choose demo 1.5. I signed up for a registered account and received an e-mail confirmation. Attempts to use that confirmation link yield:

500-And error has occurred. Please try one of the following pages (Home page is all that is listed).

If I ignore this and go back to the demo page to log in, it appears to work. It immediately offers me a LOGOUT button. But as soon as I navigate to any page off the main 1.5 demo page, my login is gone. I am constantly invited to login again.

I can't find anything on the e-mail I received, the Joomla main page, About Us, the Demo main page or anywhere else that offers assistance for demo registration problems. I am sure there is a proper contact, but what is that contact?
