New Forum Group

Is it a good idea to have a noobie forum group. I know from personal experience that I had an awful time trying to learn !joomla and I was asking some pretty dumb questions when I started out (and I still am I might add). I have since learned to work my way through it and I try to help those who are where I was a year ago. Problem is...they are scattered all over the place.

I didn't know if having a forum group specifically for noobs would help or not...but I know if they were all in one place it would make it easier to help those with less of an understanding. So you guys can concentrate more on the advanced users. I sometimes get the feeling that certain people in here feel as though they are above answering questions that have been asked a million times before, as for me and some of the people I have taught along the way...we feel as though we are finally able to give back a little of what has been given us in these forums.

Just thinking out loud.

Thanks for your suggestion.

I do see, at times, frustration occurring when 'newbies' post on our forum without knowing even the basics as to what Joomla is etc. We are working hard to provide users and moderators with resources particularly suited to new users. One is the .pdf user manual now available on the help site.

Again, thanks, we will take your suggestion into consideration.
