Incorporating leagues into a sports team site?

Hi

I'm revamping the website for my local hockey team and have been looking at Joomla for creating it. One of the specifications is for several people to be able update parts of the content, hence leading me to a CMS system and Joomla.

One of the things i need to be able to do is incorporate league tables, results and fixtures from a different website with the latest version automatically being shown. Is this possible to do with Joomla?

You could try a wrapper module, or if the site from which you're drawing your content offers RSS, you could syndicate the feeds onto your Joomla site. Are either of these options?

I know it doesnt directly answer the original question. (the answer above does that) but have you seen this.

Hi

Definitely no RSS feeds available unfortunately. I'm not sure what what a wrapper module is?

If i was doing a standard html site i would probably have used iframes to display the relevant parts.

wrapper is the joomla way of iframe

You just create a new menu item of type wrapper and point it to the url

There are many paramaters you can configure

Excellent, thank you very much to both of you, looks like i'll be using Joomla to do the site then! :) now to start getting to grips with it!
