And while I was not able to find Open SEF in the library by searching it was pretty easy to find references to it by browsing. A Google search was much better at finding references as well as yielding the home site of this amazing component. Is the search function broken? Wouldn't a Google search button be a better replacement?Your search does not return any result. Please try again.

Search Function Buggy???
Has anyone else noticed that the search function in the extensions library [forum] doesn't seem to work? I've noticed it before and today I put it to the test. With the search term "Open SEF" it returned nothing. So I tried "Opensef" then Open-SEF and still the following:

Re: Search Function Buggy???
No, I figured out that OpenSEF is not listed but, as I mentioned above, other apps DO make reference to OpenSEF yet the search function does not find them.
Now try a few other random tests. Right now onboom is listed at the top of the Most Popular list. Plunk it into the search box and -- voila -- it shows up along with one other entry. Now try something like DT Register from the adjacent column. Hit enter and while 212 results show up, DT Register doesn't appear in the first 5 pages even though it is listed 4th in the New Extensions list. So try "DT Register" in quotes to narrow the search down a bit. Now nothing shows up. In my book that's wonky

Re: Search Function Buggy???
DT Register without quotes does show up as only result in Advanced Search.
I guess that the normal search field uses "OR" with searching, and Advanced "AND".
And that the normal search does not like "quotes"....
I do not know how the ordering is determined though...

Re: Search Function Buggy???
Hi Grover,
Here´s a tip on how to get search results when searching for several words:
Example: You want to search for DT register, then try this: DT_register
The underscore will let you tie searchwords together

We have concluded that some sort of FAQ for the Extensions Directory would be helpful.pe7er wrote: Cheers! That's new (& good) info!
