mailman doesn't work

I've just setup a mailman mailinglist for my project and to test the
mailinglist, i sent a mail to it.

it's now around 7 hours sinds i sent the mail to the list and still hasn't been
visible on the archives page.

could someone check this out and even create a manual on how to work with that software, because i hear from many people that they can't get it to work........

Thanks for the heads up on this. As I can remember there have been issues with mailing lists, might still be the case. I'll try to find out what the current status is on this.

Mailman functionality using Lists feature for GForge at joomlacode

SAME ISSUE = Mailman is not functioning (sending/forwarding/nor adding the lists to joomlacode.org public display)

We have recently put some time into GForge at JoomlaCode. One of the things we want to do is use the Public Mailman LISTS feature. As an Admin in our "Project" we have:

• enabled the List [tab] in GForge
• set up 5 differnt Lists (Mailman mailing lists)
• once Mailman confirms creation - we use Administrate "link" in Lists page to access Mailman Administration for each individual List
• setup General Options so that our mailings have "GroupJive" language
• added our users via the Mass Subscription feature

From this Lists links in our Project we are successfully connected with Mailman. Our "Bugs" mail list as an example takes us to:

http://joomlacode.org/mailman/admin/groupjive-bugs

So I can confirm we are reaching the proper Admin pages in Mailman.

The problem.... Nothing is happening after that.

• Subscirbers are never confirmed
• Adding users via Membership Management never sends out introductory mailings
• Ultimately no mail sent to the address(es) ever reaches "anybody" on the lists

Sorry to bump this. I contacted ChiefGoFor recently for a follow up but haven't heard back. 

I do feel like it's tiime to check in. I'm noticing that it's been over three months since the original post and over a month since our post.

I know this is redundant  but I will please ask again:

- Is the maiilman functionality at joomacode.org going to be addressed ?
- Should we consider that the functionality won't be fixed and just ignore the links, features and pages ?
- Is it in process ?

Any info is appreciated.
