I suppose you could see it as an FAQ because I can see in my mind that this question could end up being asked quite frequently... But that is up to you Joomla Admins to decide!
Anyway, what I'd like to know is... What makes the Joomla Home Site the Joomla Home Site?
In other words... and in more detail I'd like to know the following...
Which Modifications in the form of Modules, Components and Plug-Ins, whether home made or 3rd party does the Joomla site use to make it do all the things it does? Like... From the simple things like the Extension Rating and Comment or Review Features to the more complex Forums and Bridges? Or even the Extension Download Section?
I for one love most of the functionality and features included on the Joomla site and some of which I'd love to be able to use for my own sites! I'm pretty sure that many feel the same as I do while browsing Joomla.org and at the same time thinking how some of these functions could help them and me in a big way! Maybe I'm wrong... Maybe I'm the only one but I'd seriously doubt it! I've seen many a smooth function on Joomla.org that I'd love to have on my sites. I can't list all of the functions I'm wondering about right now and therefore I'll just ask the general question... And hope for the best it can be answered by one of the core development team...
Is there any chance at all that you (One of the Joomla Team) could possibly tell us all Exactly and all of, which Mods, Components or Plug-ins you actually use to make the Joomla site what it is today? A List and links to the Mods or Add-Ons would be most preferable but really not essential! I understand like most developers do that if any of the listed and Available 3rd Party or Joomla Team Developed Modifications or Add-Ons are actually used on the Joomla.org site, may actually be modified versions, or individually manipulated to suit your own needs to fit the Joomla Site and therefore, All I'm asking for is a list of the Mods or addon's (We can leave the modifications, if any, to browsing the forums and asking questions!). Although it would be helpful to have a little modding guidance but a list would be just fine to say the least! lol.
Basically... A list of Mods or Add-Ons used here to make the Joomla Site what it is would be really appreciated if it is in your power to disclose such info!
