Clarification on content of Main section

Hello,

I was wondering what actually gets on the Main site and what one has to do for it as its a considerable place of attention. Thus far I thought this was reserved for things that concern the whole community and not just a few (like now the advertisment for the joomla day USA). We were thinking about organising a Joomla day here in the nordic region - can we also count on getting on the Main section?

To answer your question it would be best to contact the events team. Official Joomladays very often get a frontpage article though.
