Ian,

It's still not working for me.  I'm using Ubuntu Feisty with Skype ver 1.4.0.99

I can't seem to get the script to run successfully at all and in fact, can't join any public chats from the web site.  Any advice?

Scott

I stand corrected.

It turns out there was a snag in my gnome session that was causing multiple copies of skype to start.  It's all sorted out now.  Can't wait to get started!

The Joomla Coding room has seen some steady visitors now.  Great to see.  It's been general discussion at this point, but some good conversations coming from it as well.  Note nothing formal is being done in the chat; just getting everyone together and talking has been a good start.  Perhaps as we get started, we may create another room specific to the people using the guided study for some real-time discussion.  Anything that might come out of it should eventually end up back on the forum for everyone's benefit.
If you're not a part of the solution, you're a part of the problem.

Welcome aboard tagore79.  We're just getting warmed up so you can still hop on the train before it leaves the station.  We've been meeting over skype every evening and you're invited.  You can get to the chat by following this tutorial under the section titled Week 1: Communication.

Hope to see you on soon!

Thanks Seadap.  I'm actually up and  running for my Skype.. so what time do you you guys start? I need to make a mental note as I think the time difference between singapore and the states is quite large.  :)

Well, unless we are getting together for something specific (like ide setup group or something) we generally start seeing folks arrive as early as before noon but it starts to pick up around 5:00 PM Pacific Time.
