Re: The Ultimate Joomla Component Tutorial List
Although they are quite good and easy to follow, those tutorials all focus on Joomla 1.0. I personally was rather hoping this group would be focused on the "future" of Joomla, starting with 1.5. There is precious little tutorial-style information for 1.5, which I believe may be one reason why the documentation team is chomping at the bit to get help. Still, 1.0 tutorial information will be helpful if some members of this group who are unfamiliar with the 1.0 way of doing things decide to convert existing 1.0 extensions to run on 1.5. That is something I was hoping to do myself.

I haven't found many 1.5 tutorials. I will look.

Re: The Ultimate Joomla Component Tutorial List
Agreed Bascherz. Although these are good, we definitely plan on focusing our development on 1.5.
I forsee we're still at least a few weeks out from any significant move on our initial groups and projects, and we don't want our work to be outdated before we even start.
It's a great list, though, Matt, and it doesn't hurt to have it available for those who may be interested in doing some work with 1.0.x

Re: The Ultimate Joomla 1.0 Component Tutorial List
Robert Deutz created a tutorial for a comment component based on the 1.5 API. The advantage here is that howto build a plugin and component are explained. The tutorial is seperated in german (maybe not usefull for most of you) blogposts. The first part is "Joomla! 1.5 erweitern" and the latest one "Joomla! 1.5 erweitern - Das Backend (2)".

I split Chris' 1.5 tutorial list. You can find it here: http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,199528.0.html

Re: The Ultimate Joomla 1.0 Component Tutorial List
I found this one few days ago... about component, modules, plugins and more.
http://www.jlleblanc.com/Joseph/bio/Frontpage/
There's a book for 1.5 dev, as you'll see... but also some content about dev components and modules for 1.0+
Have fun!

Hi Scott,
I feel welcomed since the very first day. There was no J101 that time, I just found it! Now I feel like... complete!
