Joomla.org Home Page - Broken Image Links

I couldn't find a webmaster contact on the Joomla.org home page so I'll just mention here that every one of the images is broken and not displaying! I can't be the only one to notice this - so why have the image links been broken for the last couple of weeks?

I don't have any broken links. Check your firewall and blocking software ( as well as browser configuration)

Ahem... Let me amend that... it's Joomla .com that has the broken image links and not Joomla .org. I'm lazy and use Internet Explorer's control enter of expand URL in the address bar. So sorry for the confusion - it's Joomla .com.

I had to find where this thread was moved to 

Does Joomla.org also control Joomla.com? If it does then here is some relevant info:

If one clears their browser's cache and goes to Joomla.com they will find all the image links broken. If they then click on the Main menu item they are taken to Jomoola.org. If they return to Joomla.com all of the image links are working. If they then clear their browser's cache and reload joomla.com all the images are broken.

It's with an empty cache where Joomla.com displays broken image links.

Yup -- just saw that a moment ago when I re-signed back on and happend to use a joomla.com link.

Our url is joomla.org NOT .com

The .com does redirect to the .org, but due to hotlinking being disabled etc, images do not correctly display. This really is not an issue though, as no one should even be using the .com

…in a perfect world of course.

Many of us just are in the habit of typing the name in the address bar without the top level part and expecting the desired result. It's only when we don't get where we wanted that we'll retype the name with the .org or .net part. The reality is when people enter the Joomla site through .com and see missing image links it looks pretty shabby. You don't want people to think you forgot to relink you images do you?

The moment people click on a link they will get the right page. In any case, it's been like this for 2 years now.

Well thanks; I'm glad I made it over here too. I think Joomla is awesome and I can't wait for 1.5 to come out. It's pretty great stuff you and the team put together here.
