Jazz up design of plesk-like template for nonprofit website

Hey folks,

I'm researching improvements I'd like to make ASAP to the website of Kabissa - Space for Change in Africa, an organization very committed to responding to the tech (and particular Internet) concerns and needs of African civil society organizations. We set up the site nearly a year and a half ago and have been very happy with it, and are going to be upgrading the template as we add in some pretty cool "web 2.0 hype enabled" things in the next two months - but right now I'd like to do some quick and dirty improvements to make the content more attractive and accessible.

I'd be most interested and grateful in community feedback on what we might be able to do. Check it out: http://www.kabissa.org

Hi Tobias,

first of all: It seems very interesting what you are doing. I could imagine that the possibility to communicate via Internet would be a big chance. Have you ever thought in adding chat functionality and/or forums to your page? There is also a wide range of opensource E-learning Software aviable, even though there want be a integration into Joomla!, it could be a interesting feature. Take a look at sourceforge.net for such adds. Regarding the actual content presentation: A Sitemap could be fine.
Well just a few thoughts...
