Hi All, I'm new to Joomla and have hired another to design a template for me. My problem is that I need someone to set joomla up for my nonprofit. Someone who knows how to add my unique template to the pages and set up the basic pages and subscription page, login access levels for membership and so on for me. We will add the content, just need to have a basic layout setup as soon as possible and in a timely manner. If anyone can help me with this problem, I would greatly appreciate it.
My website is http://www.ibbma.org. thank you.
Ms. IBBMA

Re: Setting up Joomla
Hello,
You are probably best off going with a host that offers 1 click installation -- there should be a category on the forum about joomla hosting (believe the 1 step install comes from a program called Fantastico..... As far as a template your best bet is to just buy one from one of the Joomla Template Clubs like RocketTheme, JoomlaJunkie, Joomlart, etc. These can be installed from the backend.
If you are going to be adding content you will probably need to become familiar with the admin section of the site so adding your template would be a great starting place. There are many tutorials, etc.
I know I have not given you the assistance you are looking for but hopefully this will help some....Good Luck!

Your right, you didn't help me. We've already gotten the joomla software set up through fantastico. We've already gotten the http://www.ibbma.org/index.php page set up. I'm just looking for someone who knows the software to add the template to more pages for me so that we can just add the content.

Re: Setting up Joomla
If you are looking to use the template you have had designed on all pages of your site, you simply assign it as the default template in the Administrator back end of Joomla!
If you are looking to assign different templates to different pages within your site see this FAQ: http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,97494.0.html
