why cant i start a new topic in some forums?
.... For instance the 'custom development' forum?

We can post in the two child boards.

- "Core Hacks and Patches" if you want to share your own code hacks < http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/board ... html >
It appears that the posts in the main "Custom Joomla! Development" board are old -- perhaps moved there when the board was created. (I am guessing.) We can respond, but not post. I imagine the reason we cannot post in the parent board is that one of the child boards is more appropriate.

Amy is correct. It would be good to also move these messages to the correct forum so it's not that confusing any more.
