While working on the setup and security it was suggested. I was wondering if anyone has done this and if it was expensive?
It seems like a good idea.
Has anyone hired a Joomla Security expert? Topic is solved

Re: Has anyone hired a Joomla Security expert?
Hi,
It's difficult to respond to the question directly without making a commercial plug, so I'll respond in generalities.
I've seen it pay off. Most of us can use help now and then, and it's much cheaper to get good security advise before you're attacked than afterwards. The cost of cleaning up a site once it's been attacked can overwhelm some groups, especially if they don't have a good backup process.
I think site security is a little like car maintenance. You can tune a car up regularly, and have the mechanic (a qualified pro) check for potential problems at that time, or you can run the car until it stops and hire a mechanic to fix whatever breaks. Most would agree that the first method is cheaper in the long run.
