On Saturday the third of March we enjoyed a very nice journey. People from all parts of Spain came to meet the first Joomla! meeting in Barcelona.
During the day we had an introduction to Joomla! for newbies on the morning, and speeches for expertise users on the afternoon. The main thing was that all the speeches were done by people of the same Joomla community, here are the headings:
- Joomla! The revolution arrives to the web, Francisco Javier Gómez, Joomlaspanish.org collaborator.
- Unique custom templates, Nick Loggie , GRUPO adlibweb s.l.
- An e-commerce experience, Eduard Pineda & Oriol Boix, ArtSessions.net
- Joomla & customers, Manes A., eñe multimedia.
- Open Source in business, Antoni Bertran, 3&Punt Solucions Informàtiques S.L.L.
- Community Builder, Russell Blakeborough.
- The 1.0.12. catalan translation project, Bruno Pérez.
- ScannerFM = Joomla + Ilusion, Andrés F. Barrabés, Scannerfm.com
- Security & Joomla, Aitor Arozamena, infinitum.es
The original idea came from some users of the Forum, that in January'07 made the proposal to organize a meeting and announce it to the community in the Joomla weekly news and in other websites like http://www.joomlaspanish.org portal. Three months later more than one hundred and fifty people came.
Actually, the organisation never expects that massive support from the community, that fact means, that people loves Joomla! And that must give aims to everybody to continue working.
We would like to say thank you to Jordi Moya, Gustavo Raúl Aragón, Oriol Boix, Fernando Galindo, Jesús Presencio, Eduard Pineda, Àneu Martínez, Oriol Blas and all the people who made it possible, and to all the thousands of people that works for the Joomla! Project.

We all know that forum posts are copyright of their respective authors and can´t be copied or translated and reproduced without their permission.
I´ve asked to
translate this post to spanish
and post this spanish community meeting
on the spanish board
in the believe that the spanish speaking users would be as interested as you, the english speaking users
on this awesome meeting.
In absence of replies, I´ve posted a machine translation link on the spanish board:
