Hi,
Following the help from ittiger, we now have a couple of smart looking websites.
I'm now feeling ambitious and would like to sell entry tickets from the site using paypal etc.
The problem is this...
I need the entry tickets to be numbered. If you were selling them face to face you could hand over a ticket and then enter the next sequential number on the ticket.
Is there away I can do this with one of the shop packages - e.g. virtumart etc. We can then check the tickets against a master list for authentication when they are presented for admission etc.
Any ideas?
Many thanks
Matthew

Re: Not for profit e-comerce question.....
Someone else asked me this question last night, so I thought I'd share what I found. First, I'm using VirtueMart 1.0.10 with Joomla 1.0.12. I did a search on the VirtueMart Forums and this thread seems to offer a workable solution: http://virtuemart.net/index.php?option= ... ic=22916.0
Another option you might consider (if you aren't already committed to VirtueMart) might be one of the reservation extensions: http://extensions.joomla.org/component/ ... Itemid,35/ Since generally a unique reservation number is generated, it could probably be re-labeled as a ticket number.
I'd love hear how you decide to handle this... good luck!
