Hi, just tried to dl a component (sh404sef) and Forge asked me to login?
Also, are old accounts from Sourceforge ported to Forge, or is it necessary to create a new one?

Sometimes one pays most for the things one gets for nothing.

Re: Log in to download?
I'm fairly certain that you have to create a new account.
I've not had any difficulty downloading anything "anonymously" from the new forge but I believe it is possible for the project owner to set it that way. I hope it doesnt become common as thats why you get the hyper inflated figures of "Joomla developers"

Yes you do need to re-register at JoomlaCode, sorry for the inconcienience. Some projects may still have set themselves as private whilst setting up and getting organised, this might be why you were asked to login.
