Re: didn't know where to report this

Re: didn't know where to report this
I am talking about the registration to the joomla.org forums
Re: didn't know where to report this
Ah so you mean the registration at http://forum.joomla.org NOT http://joomla.org
It just worked for me in firefox
What EXACTLY was not working

Re: didn't know where to report this
it could've been a local problem, I am running Firefox 2.0.0.2
Everything went smoothly in the registration but I didn't receive any activation e-mail
I tried several times, looked at spam folder etc.
But when I registered with IE I received the activation e-mail immediately
I don't know if it means anything, but I found it worth mentioning I hope I am not wasting your time.

Re: didn't know where to report this
I have had these issues with other joomla sites and firefox. Joomla/forums/reg never gave me any problem, but a couple other 3rd party sites never sent the activiation. I cannot remember which ones/ if they were running SMF, as this was some time ago.. with an earlier version of firefox, too, come to think of it.
And GG on trying it in IE, I did the same, with the same, successful result.
I would think this was a firefox issue, but hearing someone else with the problem makes me think it's the SMF registration and a faulty session entry.
How do I fix it?
IDK, I'm not a coder, I just play one on TV.
