Website Template

Post by npp » Thu May 10, 2007 5:30 pm

I have a couple different templates that I have downloaded. I have also installed Fireboard. Now, when I am website's homepage, I click on the forum link.  It takes me to the forum but the Lastest FAQs and Latest news are still appearing at the top and likewise, the poll modules I have on the rightside column of my homepage are still appearing (although blank - jsut placeholders), which I really don't understand.  I am a novice at this but I am trying to learn. How can I make it so different templates or setups apply to different pages?  For example, I don't want the Latest news / FAQs on everypage of my website. Thank you for the help. It is very much appreciated.

I am new to this too, so hopefully my answer will be correct.  But the way I do this is go to
Modules > Site Modules

Click on the module you'd like to remove, in this instance Latest News.  On the right hand side of the page, hold control and select only the pages you'd like this module to be seen on.

I am not sure I understand your question about Templates exactly. I am having a lot of issues with different templates too, but you should be able to go to Site > Template Manager > Site Templates and click the radio button for a template, then click on Assign and chose the page(s) you want it to be associated with.
