Can I join the Joomla project on the forge?

Can I join the Joomla project on the forge?

While there is a button on the Joomla project that suggests we are on the lookout for new recruits.  Unfortunately that's not the case.  The reason that it's there is that is cannot be optional turned off at this stage :)
