Joomlacode.org - Hide Email From Public Profiile View

Post by TheSaint » Thu May 31, 2007 12:16 pm

Quick suggestion:

Would it be possible to hide (or give users the option to toggle public/private) our email addresses on Joomlacode.org profiles? I see there is a no spam variable already in there, but let's just say that some of us are extra cautious! ;)

An alternative would be to have some sort of email submission form with a CAPATCHA image. Using this would allow users to stay in touch with each other without having to risk displaying their email addresses to spambots.

Thanks as always for taking these items into consideration. Keep up the great work! :)

This topic has also been talked about by the team, as we realized the same thing. Will take a look and see if something's scheduled for the next update to JED.
