My Sci-Fi group is looking to upgrade... Topic is solved

I am not sure if I am in the correct place or if this is even ok to ask, but here goes.

I belong to a science fiction fan club, Starfleet Command.  We are looking to update our site to a more professional look and would like to include Joomla with that upgrade.  I have only started to play with Joomla this weekend and to be honest, I have been sick all weekend so I dont think I have accomplished much thus far.

I have found many sites with different templates but not many with a Star Trek / Science Fiction feel.  I would love to find something in terms of an LCARs look, but I havent seen anything yet.

SO, I would like to find out if it is possible to hire people that will make well written templates that we can alter at a later date if needed that has that Star Trek feel to it.  Of course we are a non-profit group and we have very little budget.  To be honest, I will most likely be paying for this.  But just starting and not even knowing how to add content at this point, I figured it might be better if I could find someone that would be willing to create the feel we are looking for and hopefully we can figure out the rest.
