Hi,
How can I know who is Administrator or User for a project on joomlacode ?
In topic "Frequent Asked Questions about Joomlacode" I can read
"...If you want to join a project, please contact the project administrator. He's the person that allows you to join a project, and can assign the proper roles for it."
But theres is no information about the status of members on the projects page, just a list of 'developers' and it's difficult to knows who is who and who does what ?
Who is Administrator or user on a project ?

Re: Who is Administrator or user on a project ?
Unfortunately, this is not possible with Gforge to differentiate between a project member and the administrator. After the upgrade a few days ago, projects do have a 'Request to join a project'-button (if that is what you want).

Thanx Tonie.

Ha ? However you can see at http://gforge.org/projects/gforge/ that Admin and Dev are clearly distinguished.
And does it mean that all members of a project have the same rights on the project ?

It's not really what I want.
In fact I want to publish a project but I don't want to be identified as a Developper but as a Project Admin (simply because I'm not the developper).
Although joomlacode is the perfect place for publishing my project, i'd rather publish on SF if there is no way to distinguish members roles.

Re: Who is Administrator or user on a project ?
Mmmm, there is no configuration option that I can find that would differentiate the roles in a project on the project page.
It's possible however per project to create as many roles as you like. You can set permissions on each role, so inside a project it's perfectly possible to make a distinction in roles/rights.
I will also check on the default install of Gforge advanced server (the version we are using).

Re: Who is Administrator or user on a project ?
I checked the default install (http://gforgegroup.com/es/download.php), and here it also doesn't show roles on the frontpage of a project. I will mark this down as a feature request.

Hi Tonie,
Thanks for your responses.
Feature request ? Not a bad idea, but it seems that the last version of Gforge do differentiate role on member list. For example, take a look at
http://gforge.org/project/memberlist.php?group_id=5
I've take a quick look on their news, but couldn't find any information about this feature

Re: Who is Administrator or user on a project ?
OK.
I have understood now that Gforge advanced server is not Gforge.
"GForge Advanced Server is redesigned and rewritten for the commercial space, with major new features and a clean new UI. "
Gforge shows a memberlist with roles, but not Gforge advanced server.
