Joomla 1.5 extension statistics

Post by brendonhatcher » Sun Aug 26, 2007 8:19 am

Hi

I field many, many posts about whether to use 1.0.x or 1.5 for development sites.  Apart from the stability of the 1.5 release, the main concern is the availability of extensions that are compatible.

Would it be possible to add a piece of text on the JED home page that summarises 1.5 compatibility as follows:

J! 1.5 readiness: 184 of 2000 extensions

That way we could track from a "big picture" point of view, rather than looking at each extensions by itself.

Regards
Brendon

For now we can find 475 extensions with J1.5 Compatibility statement:
Go to advanced search, choose only Joomla 1.5 badge and hit Search

Hi

Thanks for the info - I can do the search on a regular basis.

I still feel that general users would be well served by making the stat available on the extensions frontpage.

Regards
Brendon
