I perfectly understand your point, but the lead to this information was to cross-check procedural instructions from the user point of view. Happen that this blog post is the first result Google list on the keyword 'joomla legacy mode' (

In fact, legally talking, a post like this shouldn't be changed over time because of regulatory compliance in some countries because of historic documentation.
Maybe, a good idea IMHO from the Knowledge Management perspective, is to add at the bottom of each post -given the nature of Joomla! blogs posts- an automatic and brief paragraph, very similar to the notice usually added at the end of corporation's and governments press releases, indicating the nature of the information and that this info may change over time, so pointing to an always updated general resource somewhere.
