PNG fixed for IE6 - How to

as all of us know the PNG files has some troubles by IE6 browser an example is when you use an image with transparent background. Testing it by IE6 the background is seen as a white one.

I know all templates has a trick for this problem, my problem is that I'm building a new template starting from the "start", so what's the trick please?
