We're going to recount the votes for all extensions in the Extensions Directory somewhere next week.
Skore found out that there is a possibility for rounding differences, causing some extensions with lots of votes to have a lower score than they are actually entitled to. To resolve this, we're going to do a recalculation of all votes. This procedure has the following steps:
- We have a recorded list of all individual votes starting back in june 2006 when the Extensions Directory was 3 months old. Before that, only the average vote was kept, not individual ones. To make up for this, we're going to remove all votes from march 2006 until june 2006. This will not have a major influence, as extensions that were around at that date will have a massive number of votes each.
- A recalculation will be made on all votes, going into effect immediately.
