Extension Directory - News Feeds (plus some rant)

So, I check the extensions directory quite often because I am eager to see progress being made on extensions for Joomla 1.5.  Now, I've already voiced my opinion about how nice it would be if there was a "Recently Updated" feed rather than just new.  I've also weighed in on how troublesome it is that there is no way to tell what is 1.5 compatible, and what requires the legacy plugin.

But this issue miffs me a bit.  Why is it that the RSS feed for new extensions doesn't update regularly?  There were no extensions since November 9th.  Now, November 14th, 24 new extensions show up in the feed all at once.

Why doesn't the feed update hourly?

The feed is updated instantly. We were waiting on an update before we could approve more extensions

We will soon be back at having daily approvals again

Is it instant or is it daily?  I've notice delays of several days several times before as well.

But, if I understand you correctly - this is an approval delay, not anything to do with the feed.

We normally approve new extensions on daily basis. When they are approved, you should be able to see them via the feed.
