Please remove this factually incorrect and misleading review

Post by PhilTaylor-Prazgod » Thu Dec 27, 2007 1:18 pm

This is simply a factually misleading so-called review from FuturaImmagine.
http://extensions.joomla.org/component/ ... Itemid,35/

I bought the Joomla Tags component because it seemed amazing. Fast in administration, useful for classification and in creating a decent cloud tag. However you should know that you simply have to “live in hope”, as the component is completely full of bugs and incompatibilities.

The full truth of this review can be seen in the forum threads:
http://forum.phil-taylor.com/viewtopic. ... 6739#p6739
http://forum.phil-taylor.com/viewtopic. ... 6740#p6740

Joomla Tags is not full of bugs or incompatibilities. We have a promise(posted on the download page) that we will investigate all incompatibilities between our components and so far we have achieved 100% success rate!

As promised we investigated and found no such issue.

There is no such conflict between JCE Editor and Joomla Tags

Alsoi support is practically useless as when they decide to answer, often they can’t give you a solution without having to get into your site admin. This is annoying and also costs something extra. Probably if they hadn’t setup everything in a ajax framework which goes into conflict with nearly every component of your site and had administered the site in a more simple way, with a few pages in php, it would have been a nice component. But that just isn’t the way it is.

When we decide to answer? As the factual link to the forum above proves, we answered this customer in less than 24 hours on his first forum post - I doubt that can be called "useless"!

If a user doesnt help you to help them then the easiest way is to get full access and fix the problem yourself - we offered to do this for FREE and still the only response we got was [its not my sites fault - your fault - fix it]

After having had problems with my site I tried installing it on another 8 which I manage, and I had errors and malfunctions in all of them. If you want to try it therefore, get ready to be very patient.

undocumented and unhelpful !

This user is even still using the component on his main site! - he cant hate it that much!

I personally reply to forum posts for as long as I can daily, since moving the Joomla Tags forum to its own site http://www.joomla-tags.com/ every forum post has received a personal reply within 24 hours!!!!

Other customers reviews confirm that support is readily available and is FREE! (We do not charge for support EVER!)

I have emailed the customer with a link to this thread

Please remove this factually incorrect and misleading review.

Hi Phil,

Could you please use the 'Report' link at the review. Then we can easily have a look at the report within the system.
Thats the procedure for getting a quick service. Please help us in helping you. Thanks.

Posts like the one above have no value.
Keep it simple and use JED reporting system, and then JED team will do our best to deal with misleading reviews that can be verified to be factually incorrect.

This is my reply, my official translator is away for holidays.
Phil i see you have cleared your support forum. I think this is not so professional. Can't you migrate ALL the old posts?  :pop

Again factually incorrect.

The old Support forum is still populated and you can read all the old posts at:
http://forum.phil-taylor.com/viewforum.php?f=16

I have also started a new forum on a dedicated site for Joomla Tags (as I have also done with JoomlaKB):
http://www.joomla-tags.com/forum/

There is no way to move (as far as I know) part of an existing forum to a new forum with phpBB3.
