How to add a search page? Topic is solved

Hi Everyone,

I am pretty new to Joomla. I have my site running with a lot of static contents that I can update using admin page but now
I want to add a search page where I want to build my own php code but use the menus to load the search page and upon clicking submit in search page user should be directly to result page of my choice. Is this possible? How do we generate dynamic pages using Joomla (i.e. write php programs and integrate them into Joomla)? May be I missed some basics...please help...
