Uploading files

Post by mugarurac » Thu Feb 07, 2008 9:59 am

Hullo, i am designing an intranet using joomla, i have documents and other files in various folders. When i want a user to access a document, one can easily do that. On the back end, however i have to insert/edit link to create a link to that document. I have to type manually e.g C:\ve-intranet\agriculture\themes\reports\strategic-plan.doc Is there a way of linking such files by clicking browse in the editor

I have the same question (for Joomla 1.5). In the older Joomla, I either used the JCE editor or I went into Media Manager and copied the link. Until JCE is available for Joomla 1.5, is there a way to easily create the document link?

Good question, but not really a coding question per say. Better to ask over in the general questions section. I'd move the post, but you're asking about both versions.
If you're not a part of the solution, you're a part of the problem.

Hi All

Just wanted to let you know that we have coded an addition to the JCE Editor advanced link popup (for bot version 1.1.6 and above) that allows for selecting and linking to documents that have been uploaded in the Media Manager.

We are happy to supply code files and instructions on making the change, but be aware we are not PHP developers so the code might look a bit rough - works great though. Just contact us at [email protected] and we send you the files.

Thanks
Sean
