“…right now, when a united world is what all people are asking for,
and universal fraternity is demanded,
humanity has at its disposal these powerful means of communication".
Chiara Lubich
Net-One, is a network of professionals, students and workers in media, spread throughout the five continents, who work or study in this field from the perspective of a united world. It is coordinated by an international secretariat and by regional or national groups. It promotes itself as an open space for those working or studying in the field of media communications, favouring occasions of encounters and sharing of professional experiences, ideas, projects, educational courses and in-depth cultural studies.
Objective
NetOne promotes a media campaign that gives rise to fraternity so that globalisation does not suppress different peoples but is transformed into a worldwide, enriching, stimulating, innovative, pro-active opportunity shared amongst different civilisations and cultures.
Projects
The ICT NGOs and ICT section: The Act Now workshop is working towards the realisation of a project of dialogue and collaboration amongst NGO’s in order to strengthen the voice of civil society in multi-stakeholder dynamics. This aims to promote digital solidarity and the use of ICT as an opportunity to reach the developmental objectives indicated by the UN in the Millennium Declaration of September 2000.
