Future nonprofit site needs Joomla coder extrordinaire

Post by absynthemuse » Sat Mar 04, 2006 4:48 am

I'm not sure if this was best posted here or in the custom development forum...

I'm the Editor-in-Chief of a website for and by young adult writers ages 13-22. We're currently in the process of becoming a 501(3)(c) nonprofit in the state of New York, and are building a staff made up of young people. Our site has won second place in the World Summit Youth Award for culture and creativity in recognition last November in Tunis, Tunisia, for our unique approach to reaching out to young writers from over 20 countries around the world.

However, I'm somewhat Joomla-retarded, as is the rest of the staff.

The point is, I've been doing my best for the last year in keeping our website running somewhat smoothly, but it's reached a point where someone who knows what they're doing needs to take over. We're looking for a young web designer with serious talent in coding Joomla!, pereferably one with an interest in writing, the arts, or nonprofits. Our staff is scattered all over the world, so location isn't an issue. Currently, every staff member is a volunteer until we can be firmly established as a 501(3)(c) nonprofit organization. If you're interested in growing with us, drop me an email about yourself, your talents, and your expertise at [email protected].

If you know of someone else who might be interested in this opportunity, please pass it on.

Elisabeth
