[RULES] Hacks to core not listed

Post by gsbe » Mon Mar 06, 2006 3:13 am

Listing Rules have been updated to be more clear about what is a valid Extension to be listed:

All extensions must be installable on the Joomla! platform. No hacks will be listed.

This seems pretty clear but I wanted to create a specific thread for discussion as necessary. A valid extension must be installable and removable via Joomla's standard admin interface without effecting the system after uninstall.

Exceptions would include an Extension that modifies core files and changes them back to old state after removal.

The Joomla! team is working on a code snippet component for the developer site for third party developers who want to post hacks. Thanks!
