There isn't a problem with PMs.  The thing to do would be to use the Report to Admin function located at the bottom of each Personal Message you receive.  We try to do our best regarding spammers, and notifying the Admins of spam you may receive helps us keep the boards clean, and stop them quickly. :)

Yes it would.  It would be far easier to just ignore, or report, or just delete the PMs that you know to be spam.  Or if you really want to you can disable PMs in your profile.  I wouldn't recommend that though.
