Hi all,
Recently I've started noticing a quirky "hiccup" in the forums and was wondering if it was just me or if others had noticed it too.
In some of the automated email notificiations that are sent out by the forum when a thread is updated with a new post, I click on the VIEW THE REPLY AT link and am taken to a totally different thread. This thread could be in the same Topic Group or in a totally different Topic Group. Other times I am taken to the correct thread.
Today I did notice that when I am taken to the wrong thread / topic group I am not logged in. If I am logged in then I am always taken to the correct thread / topic group.
Has anyone else noticed this?
TIA!
Roger

Re: Forum E-Mail Links - Logged In vs. Logged Out
Thanks. It's just something I noticed in the past month or so, but its become increasingly obvious (and annoying) the past couple of weeks.
On a side note (not sure if it is related in any way), but I am using FF 1.5.0.6 and have my passwords for the forum saved in the browser preferences and am constantly getting "wrong password / ID" errors when I try to log in to the forums using the saved passwd feature. I am actually having to type in my passwords to log in, so the saved feature is usless. But the only site I have this issue with is the forums.

mmm maybe try and clear your cache and cookies for this site, and start again. Also, try another browser so we can see who is to blame

I clean out my cookies on a weekly basis if not a daily basis. As far as my cache I have them set to 0 MB (FF) or 1 MB (IE). Even though the caches are set to 0 or 1 I clean them out on a daily basis (usually 3 or more times a day).
Like I said the only browser I have the problem with is FF. It works fine in IE.
