Forum "Newbie" idea. Topic is solved

What do most newbies do straight after logging into the Forum for the first time after registering? THEY POST!
Would it not be a good idea then to REDIRECT them on their very FIRST login…………to a page with all FAQ( NOT one where they have to click on to get the list of FAQ’s though….( It seems most newbies have  an aversion to looking any  further than the page they are on), the Beginners Guide,  a list with some of the most common ( most repeatedly asked when they’ve already been answered) type questions, a large RED titled article on marking posts solved……………….. in other words, try to “nail” them before they make the umpteenth thread about a question?
I have no idea if this is even possible/configurable with this forum………. It just struck me as a “common sense” idea.
