Re: First Parish Congregational church
Hi, For PDF's, I was referring to a newsletter. We purchased Acajaoom pro, and I'm going to take the MSPublisher newsletter, convert it to pdf and then send that out as an in-house newsletter. My point with pdfs was simply that there are many tools out there than can read/write/convert them, and you...

Re: First Parish Congregational church
We use a service from m right now. Personally, I don't like it - not a lot of flexiblity, especially for many people who want to add things. I'm trying to get them to switch to a product from extrosoft (m), which I think is very good, but I'm having problems getting them on-board with that. Our offi...

Re: First Parish Congregational church
I don't have any sites off the top of my head. I'd suggest you just do a search on church in the non-profit board. You need to pick a template - either a free one, or purchase one, and go from there. There's definitely a learning curve, but I think it's worth it. I'd suggest you start with the help ...

Re: First Parish Congregational church
Thanks. I use templates from rockettheme. They aren't church specific, but can be modified to fit your needs. There's also companies that specialize in creating templates for churches. There's a million good ones out there...

Re: Non-Profet Church template
I just redesigned our church website, using the colormatic rockettheme template. I can certainly understand your money situation, but trust me, if you are going to spend some money, this is well worth it. Maybe money that was going to be spent on something else can be delayed. If you are an of...

First Parish Congregational church
Hi, This is my first joomla website. I'd be interested in people's opinions. I tried to keep it simple, and the content is still a little light, as I'm struggling to get people to provide more items. I will be adding the prayer center, newsletters and blogging in the near future. We will be switchin...

Very nice. Simple, but that's how a church website should be designed. (IMHO)...

Re: Dalserf Parish Church - One of the oldest churches in Scotland - circa 1655.
Very nice. I am redesigning my church site as well, and I am researching as many church websites as possible. A simple approach works best, in my opinion.
Good job.
Good job.

Good joomla calendar?
Hi all,
I'm looking for suggestions for a good (free) calendar that either integrates with joomla or is an actual joomla extension.
Any suggestions? This is for a church...
TIA...

Bible verse of the day
Hi all, I am redesigning my churches website in joomla, and I would like to include a bible verse-of-the day on the homepage. I tried the one listed at joomla extensions, but that requires url_fopen to be enabled, which my webhost does not allow. Does anyone have a verse-of-the-day module/function/s...

Re: Are there a lot of church's that use Joomla?
Yes, I think joomla will be able to do it. I am working on redesigning my church website, and I am using joomla to do it. I've done a lot of research comparing different tools, and joomla hit me as the best option. Also, check out dreamhost for webhosting - for non-profits, it's free, an...
