Re: Per-forum RSS?
Sure. That's why there's probably already at least one mod already. However, you must agree with me that the volume of a typical forum feed would be a lot higher than the volume of a typical news site feed (a forum wide feed for this forum would definately completely smother all the other feeds I ha...

Re: Per-forum RSS?
There is none. I think the "official" reason is that the phpBB team feel RSS is not suited for forums (I do tend to agree at least as far as global board feeds are concerned. Depending on volume, feeds for specific forums may be useful).aturetta wrote:I can't even find a link to the global RSS feed

Re: How do I make a forum like this one?
Wait, I think I am in need of some weekend and I have been giving you confusing, if not incorrect info. RokBridge integrates the Joomla and phpBB3 user database: register once, log in once, and use use both Joomla and phpBB3 with the same username. You wouldn't need any kind of integration between y...

Re: How do I make a forum like this one?
Ah. Sorry, missed the bit about comments. No, I don't think that's available. However, I think that if you plan to have both a forum and commenting on your site, you should strive for doing the commenting through the forum. I don't know if anything is available for that ATM.

Let's not turn it into a discussion of how to effectively moderate a forum and what tools to use I personally would like to use this feature for canned moderator responses, but that's well outside the scope of this topic

You also have an overview of your drafts in your user control panel. From there, you can load it into the reply form for the relevant topic. Seems all quite sensible to me (and the UCP was the first place for me to look when I thought, where would they put a central access into my drafts, so I'd say...

Re: This phpBB3 Forum Header/Footer modification
is there anyway that I can get the html code from my joomla template? A view page source? There's no easy way to do this..cut this code here and paste it in the phpBB3 header? Why can't it just be cut and paste simple. :) Whenever I need to do that, I just go to the page I want some HTML from, do &...

Re: What happened to the forum today???
I think that's just one of those things you have to get used to. The fact that you "feel" it is incorrect isn't a very compelling reason to change it (no offence meant, I'm just saying you will probably need a better reason than that to convince either the Joomla bb team or the phpBB team ...

One can't argue about taste, but the layout-change did not improve readability at all. on a laptop the colour-constrasts are too vague. :-[ Seems okay to me on my laptop. This is a known "feature" of the prosilver phpBB template used here. I wouldn't call it a bug (but I'm placing those quote marks around "feature" very deliberately ;)), it works as designed. There are simply many considerations involved, no one solution is ideal - for my own boar...

Have you seen how many times you see a void page? a SQL error page? a end-less waiting for dispalying new page? ??? Are you basing that off this forum? That's funny, because this isn't bridged at all. The SQL errors have been explained. The performance does seem slow sometimes, but for all problems...

Re: What happened to the forum today???
A forked phpBB that is entirely dependent on Joomla! would follow the development of J!, and not of the concerns of the phpBB community. With phpBB2, maybe. phpBB3 is a lot better at integration with other products, so I very much doubt whether the advantages would outweigh the disadvantages. A pro...

It does... just the edit timelimit is only set to a few hours.. I will look at adjusting that at a later stage. I'd reconsider that... Yes, in Firefox 2.0.0.12 it seems the graphic is stretching the article container, making the content flow out of the visual container background.

Hi all, Edit: had to change description, because going to unread posts of other topics works fine. Re: what Joomla version is here and phpbb3...
I've read elsewhere that there is indeed no "under the hood" connection between these forums and the main Joomla sites, it's just a separate install. The only "integration" is cosmetic. If you plan to do this yourself, you may want to check our Rokbridge.

You can adjust the text size. Top right of all pages. Unfortunately, changing it there does not keep the new size for the next session. Re: Board-Activation Email was marked as Junk in Thunderbird
When you mark a message as junk in Thunderbird it doesn't so much create a hard "rule", it's more like training a monkey to recognize spam, just by telling it, this is spam, and this isn't (i.e. marking a particular message as spam doesn't mean it will only recognize that message as spam the next ti...

Have a look here, I think it explains everything you need: http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,5556.0.html
One thing that isn't mentioned there explicitly: you will have to move the entire Joomla installation, not just the index.php.

When investigating another problem I found this doesn't occur on another installation of Firefox 1.5.0.4 either (different machine, same network; occurs on a machine of the company, doesn't occur on my own laptop hooked onto the same network). In that case, it seems such a specific problem that it i...
