Re: Suggestions: licencing, templates and other stuff

The answer is YES, but not now. Can I ask why? If it is a case of available manpower then why not ask for more help (or take up existing offers) I would happen to agree with taking up more assistance by those that wish to help. I would however suggest that there are many here who set the sidelines ...

Maybe instead of being bent on having another release out before working on the new ideas, or fixing issues found, someone could take the reigns and make it happen. I do like the idea of the template rating(s).

Re: Split from: Notify and quotes

That's it. Split the thread. Now surely what has been said will make sense. Of course you will agree that it does not.  I'm done. That's what you hoped for. But to believe it was for the betterment of the community just as the resignations from the teams by those that care about the software is...

Split from: Notify and quotes

Mod note, thread split from: m It was not a swipe at the moderators, sorry you saw it that way. Brad and others on the core team tend to see things within a poorly educated perspective and self serving position many times. Being we are no longer members of any of the teams, we learn that anything we...

Now that is what I call a real host. Not only on top of it and working towards the issues, but posting to let us all know that there is work being done to correct.

Great work Rochen (Chris). We all appreciate it.

Re: Moderator Removed my Post because "adult content oriented"?????

As a long time administrator of forum softwares, I would then request that the software be removed and replaced with vBulletin brand software that allows for a finer grain control. There is no reason whatsoever that a person should not be able to delete their own posts.

Period.

Thank you,

Re: Moderator Removed my Post because "adult content oriented"?????

The forum here is really a multicultural community with people from lots of countries. What might be perfectly normal from somebody from North Pole, might be quite harmful from somebody from the South Pole. This is why we are trying to stay on the safe side. Is binary, octal and hexadecimal a forei...

Most people posting have no experience with html let alone joomla. If they are asking questions, they most likely are new and cannot answer too awful many questions. Much of the questions regard template and design, this is something no cms is going to teach a person. You have to understand and lear...

I'm all for law and order and obiding by the forum rules. I helped write them.  I run a business of ethics every day of my life.
Mistakes are being made. People are being left out who gave and will give. The problem is the order in which you write the rules.
