Re: USS Yorktown Association, Inc.
Hi, Nicole, Thanks for the comments. I'll keep the glimpses of the past suggestions in mind regardless of the switch and will also check out the free template site. The content and content formatting aren't mine. One of their board members does the content. He's relatively new to all this and ...

Re: USS Yorktown Association, Inc.
I thought I did, but I may not have. I'll take a look at it. Frankly, I've been considering switching them over to an entirely different template that gives them a few more options and has a fresher look to it. I'm considering Rockettheme's Replicant.

Re: Policy Pitfall?
Thank you. Like I said, I understand the policy and the need for some way to maintain a professional level of integrity in the JED listings. It's just that it impacts those of us who had nothing to do with the problem and are using the extensions.

Re: Policy Pitfall?
I don't know, Vimes. I'm not a developer. I have a limited understanding of how the backend works, so I don't know what is possible and what is not. Some thoughts (most probably not doable) would be to ⋅ Create a "buyer beware" warning that stated "Evidence exists to show that all/some of ...

Policy Pitfall?
First I apologize to Brad and the other mods on this forum for misposting a question for help with an extension last night. Thank you, Brad for seeing my edit to remove the post and deleting it. Now onward and upward. I saw the announcement in the extension directory about the unprofessional a...

Re: USS Yorktown Association, Inc.
I had something up there, but I had to kill it. I don't do the content on that site. I've got to get them to keep the posts for that category under a certain number of characters in the intro box. They kept overflowing the box. I wish I could get that particular template to layout as fluid. It would...

Re: Tanasi Journal
What is the size on your browser setting? I'm running 1024 wide and it isn't long on my screen. I may need to check it under some different settings.

Re: Mountain View UMC in Knoxville TN
Thank you! I like this new theme/template much better, and I really like the layout better. It's far more functional for them than what we'd originally set up. I found prayercenter at joomla.org in the extensions section. It was a fairly easy install to do. There should be a link to it's developers ...

Re: Mountain View UMC in Knoxville TN
Updating. Since originally releasing the site, we've switched to a different them (Rocket Theme's Snowfire). It just seemed to flow better for what we were trying to do.

Tanasi Journal
I'd like to introduce you to (and show off) Tanasi Journal (m). This project actually started out as a grant funded print newspaper and remains, as is advertised, the Southeast's only American Indian news source. Unfortunately, we were unable to build up an advertising base that would sustain our pr...

I would like to announce the completion and release of w. The site was built for the association of the Yorktown's crew members. Re: To Non-Profit or To Not Non-Profit, That Is The Question
I kind of scanned the previous posts, so if I'm being a bit redundant I apologize. However, I'm speaking directly from personal experience. I founded and chair a 501-c-3. There are both IRS rules AND non-profit ethics rules that have to be considered. You cannot pay yourself for your time or service...
