I am a big supporter of both Drupal and Joomla! However when Joomla 1.5 was released, Drupal.org was quick to announce it on their front page. Well today Drupal 6.0 was released!
Thanks

Re: Joomla Home Site Question -
I beleive there is HTML meta data that tells the browser how long to keep the cache and when to refresh.
Its been awhile... sorry I cant point you closer.

Re: Joomla 1.5 Extensions Compatibility: Why all these frustrations?
PostNukes failure to re-write and aggressively progress is what caused the decrease in its functionality. The truth is people need to step up to the plate and contribute as they had in 1.X! I have searched the CMS market, and right now very few offer the features AND community Joomla offers.&n...

Re: Joomla Home Site Question -
I beleive the page is beign re-processed, hence unlike a static page, you get pushed to the top. If its beign re-processed your really looking at a new page (even though it seems to be an old page). Im not positive, but I beleive this to be the case. Guess it depends if your Browser is r...

Re: Locking Threads?
I did see the security forums... I was just brushing a topic that was off topic, that ran across my mind... If you discover a security whole, you want to tell the developers so they can fix it before publishing it... But there is no dispute against that, and really it was me rambling off topic...

Re: Front/back Demo Anywhere?
Look at the top of the forum list... there is a 1.5 theme contest... that will allow you access to the default 1.5 site... there is a CMS review site that also provides this, but I am not sure they are doing 1.5 yet. If you want admin access... I don't know what to tell you, but I think a demo...

Re: Joomla Home Site Question -
do you mean the back button on the browser interface?
If so, whats happening is that your re-submitting the forum data and then you would potentially get different results. Your not viewing the page you were before, but are viewing a new page.

Re: Why I really hate SMF forum software
For a technical support site I agree... This forums are not bad, but when phpBB is great. For my site, phpBB is too advanced for the users. I worry about the tag system within this forum as beign too complex for my users. I would like to remove some features from the editor to allow for ...

Re: subdomains on this website
why do you do this? What is the purpose?
I assume its to get over the problem of block placement specific to individual apps... Does 1.5 alleviates these issues?

Re: Joomla 1.5 Extensions Compatibility: Why all these frustrations?
I have worked on postNuke source code, web site, and community development/support, about 4 years ago, when it was the leader of the pact. The experience has shown me that Quality Assurance is not something that Joomla can spend time on doing. If you have problems with a module, make a comment...

subdomains on this website
I am using Joombla 1.5 nightly build from yesterday... This really doesn't matter much
I am currious as to why there is subdomains for News, Help, Forum, Extensions, Shop and Developers... what functionality does this afford the end user and the administrator?
