Re: What happened to the forum today???

A few of my posts on old forum that had snippets of php and/or html code examples are garbled (both FF and IE), but other than that, looks good.

Re: Whats stopping you to use Joomla 1.5 in your project ?

A big one would be the ability to add custom content fields. Take a look at Drupal's CCK to get an idea. I think this the main thing that Joomla needs. And along with CCK, something similar to the Drupal Views family of modules that make it really easy to generate and display results of customized ...

Re: Template Tutorials

Barrie... Really great stuff...time to retire my random collection of Joomla! 1.5 template factoids and leave it all in the quite capable hands of the pros at Compass Design.  And Johan really deserves much more credit than I.  I did the easy stuff.  Again, congrats on a job well done.

Re: Discussion about : Joomla! 1.5 is on the Horizon ...

Alberts... My opinion...go with 1.0.8, assuming the site you are putting up is a "production" site.  Even if a stable release of 1.5 appears prior to June, there will still be good chance that there will be some lingering issues..there always are. And, there will no doubt still be third-party m...

Wonder how many of the people who are complaining about the ads have in fact made monetary donations to Joomla! ??

Re: FAQ: How do I put a separator between articles or news items?

Yes, this would work, but this would have to be a change to the Joomla core code by the core developers.  Based on its name (i.e., article_seperator), seems to me the intended purpose was to alllow separation between articles, not drawing border around articles. Also, I believe you can use the ...

FAQ: How do I put a separator between articles or news items?

Ever wondered if there was an easy way to put a separator between a new items and articles?  Well, there is a CSS class recognized by the Joomla! core that makes this a simple chore.  At the end of each content item, Joomla! generates the following statement:   The folowiing example p...

Looks liike a typical IE problem with CSS standards to me.  And template does cause IE to operate in "Quirks Mode" due to presence of the statement as first line in index.php.
