Re: what does sefRelToAbs do ?

It seemed that sefRelToAbs() function doesn't work with index2.php.
Has anybody achieved that before? I mean make the sefRelToAbs to work with index2.php?  :pop

Re: How to install extensions on the server?

hi, cheechein.
i suggest you to download and familiarize yourself with joomla interface.
here the link: http://www.redevolution.com/component/o ... Itemid,41/
as your question is a very basic and i don't think we got that much time of explaining step by steyp on how to login,
how to install as it is covered in the manual.
hope you'd understand.  :)

back-end is: http://www.yourdomain.com/administrator/index.php
login with your very own username and password.
and last, deleting installation folder is recommended after a fresh install.  :)

Re: The Commercial Gift of Death to Joomla?

I can't explain it very well because I don't speak English very well, but the ads in the bottom are more "logical"

logical?
Logical in the perspective of 'forum users' but not google adsense subscriber.
And putting the ads below will surely got much less traffic.

Hi, strider22. This issue has been discussed before. Here's some quote from a core member: There are four main reasons why we don't allow templates on the extension site : 1. It would quickly turn the extension site into a template showcase. 2. The extension site doesn't really have the necessary fe...

Also, it is against the rules of Google to 'promote' adsense etc etc by site announcements. That's true. No announcement should be made when a site is implementing Google Adsense. Btw, how do we from non-paypal country donate by clicking on the blue tag in the top corner of this page? I tried to re...

windows xp as an online webserver? a nice idea but not a good suggestion. i personally think that using linux would be a better choice, because: - linux has a better resource management than windows. - linux has less hardware requirement than windows. - we can opt in linux to have only runlevel 3 (w...

Yet The Stehpane(comment poster) Downloaded component for Joomla 1.1 and installed it on Joomla 1.0.

But on the extension site, the JXplorer compatibilty was shown both in 1.0 and 1.1 version.
I think you should edit this first.  :)

Also, I realize that the donation banner would be plenty useful if I would just use it to contribute some money instead of analyzing its utility but i think we could just leave that because we need to educate "user that might be willing to donate" to know how to submit their donation. temporarily, ...

Re: Suggestions for display of donation banner and management of support request.

- Give the donation menu a link in the top bar along with "Main", "News", and the others.  I do not have a good suggestion for how to label it.  You do not want to label it "Support" because that implies it's a help link.  A label of "Donate" is not a terrible choice. i personally th...

You're right. Text description alone, i think would no...
